Stray Farm
Holme on Spalding Moor, East Riding of Yorkshire
March 2015 - Present
Building Regulations Approval
Sited at the Southern edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, this farmhouse once served as a pub aside the Market Weighton Canal, it has been subsequently extended numerous times to ill effect.
Through subtle adjustment and expansion Stray Farm now holds a more resolute stature in its agrarian context. Our intervention rationalised the many separate elements of the home into a coherent layout which was echoed in a clearly structured roof negating a range of disparate pitches and valleys.
A further extension to the farmhouse provided a larger kitchen, further ancillary storage and utility areas and at first floor level a new ensuite master bedroom, dressing room and guest room.
The project follows the established buff brick material palette native to the local area.
